ABOUT ARPIT

A practical perspective on engineering.

I’m Arpit Bhatt. My background combines a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a master’s degree in industrial engineering and PMP certification with hands-on experience in industrial equipment.

My design experience includes pump systems, shafts, fabrication, mechanical assemblies and manufacturing documentation. At the Toronto Transit Commission, my work has involved hydraulics, hoists, compressors and rotating equipment.

That combination shapes how I approach a problem: understand the operating conditions, identify the constraints, work through the analysis and consider how the solution will be built, inspected and maintained.

This portfolio brings that approach together through engineering case studies, practical calculators and technical explanations.

My interests sit where mechanical design, equipment reliability and project delivery meet—with a particular interest in the nuclear sector.

ENGINEERING APPROACH

A model is a starting point.
The proof is in the details.

01

Define the real problem

Start with duty requirements, failed parts, service history and the interfaces that must stay fixed.

02

Make the trade-offs explicit

Compare stiffness, hydraulic performance, cost, production constraints and maintenance access.

03

Verify beyond the model

Use independent calculations, peer review, dimensional inspection and performance tests.

04

Close the loop

Carry lessons into controlled drawings, inspection points and the next production build.
